Hi, Since no replies so far, I have the 35 1.4 and the R6. I only used the 35 when I first purchased the R6 to check all my EF lenses on the R6 for focus. I noticed images from the R6 on all my EF lenses appear sharper. I can take the lens out again and do some test shots for you.
According to Samyang there're 2 high refraction factor elements which help to reduce the weight and size but the lens is actually slightly more heavy and somewhat longer than e.g. both the Canon EF 35mm f/1.4 USM L and Nikkor AF-S 35mm f/1.4G. The front element does not rotate during focus operations. The physical length of the lens remains
Out of the lab and for real-life picture taking the Canon EF 50mm f/1.2 L and EF to RF adapter combination work great, with just-as-fast focusing and just-as-accurate autofocus at f/1.2. The reason to get this RF lens is mostly for astronomers and others who are going to look in the corners with microscopes of scientific subjects at f/1.2.
The Canon RF 135mm f/1.8 L USM not only makes a case for itself as the best Canon prime lens, but as the best 135mm lens period. (35mm, 24-70mm, etc.). For portrait shooters, Canon’s 135mm
Unlike its high-speed sister lens, the EF 24mm f/1.4 USM L, the EF 35mm f/1.4 USM L showed a very harmonic behaviour in the MTF lab. The center resolution is already excellent straight from the max. aperture and it surely exceeds the resolution limits of the EOS 350D in the sweet spot range (f/2.8-4).
The Sony FE 35mm F1.4 GM is a high-end, medium-wide prime lens for Sony's E-mount cameras. While there have been high-end 35mm F1.4 primes in the lineup for some time – including Sony's own Zeiss-branded Distagon 35mm F1.4 – this new lens looks to be an impressive performer despite its relatively small size (and it's less expensive than the Zeiss, to boot).
The 50mm and 28-70mm optics weigh in at a hefty 950g and 1430g respectively. By stark contrast, this Canon RF 35mm f/1.8 IS Macro STM lens addition to the line-up measures a mere 74x63mm and tips the scales at just 305g. It’s small and light, but full of opportunity – the 35mm focal length on full-frame cameras is often regarded as ideal
